more Pallids





the trouble with taking so many pictures is that you discover lost images after a few days! these were a different Pallid Swift taken on 15th---it must be the light but in Cyprus I find that I can ID these birds with the naked eye at up to 200-300m which you have to be able to do so that you can track them with the camera and shoot when they are within range! I once had a Pallid (first for the UK at the time) rejected because it failed to show a contrasting dark saddle on the mantle which was considered to be a feature of spring Pallid Swift--I have taken many images in Cyprus in several springs which refute that theory
