juvenile Long-tailed Skua

appalling light when this bird turned up so 1600 ISO in the rain and wind -- it landed on the mud briefly but then took up and was blown rapidly west by the gale disappearing over the Bridge and off inland-- -no prize winners here but its only 1250m from my house so seeing a few decent seabirds and my third even patch Pied Flycatcher in a day that didn't coast a lot in travel was a bonus -- certainly better than 2 days on the Lincs coast at the weekend that produced the least birds I have ever seen in September on the coast --
