headed up to Scotland on the 3rd and dropped in at the Chequered Skipper site as the wind got up and the sun went in - managed one that sheltered on Soph's jeans at one point but no Azure Hawkers- the following day we set off for Skye and managed to get a brief teneral Azure Hawker in the wind west of Inver Garry - the wind was the theme of the week with three days on the Uists battered by a procession of fronts with low cloud, rain and strong winds
In 9 days we did 1830 miles which is more than I have done on some Canadian trips and for a lot less birds!
