 a close encounter with a pair of Roe Deer - totally relaxed as I was stood behind a gate post! 

juveniles of several forms

 a brood of Blackbirds just fledging in the garden - two Roe fawns and a juvenile Cuckoo being fed by Dunnocks in the forest and just when I thought this Kestrel nest had failed a couple of late youngsters peering out

June oddments

Banded Demoiselles on an incongruous barbed wire fence, Red-eyed Damselfly, Ruddy Darter, Painted Lady roosting at 22:00 and Roe Deer well after sunset with the new Canon R6

 managed to get the camera on the rather fast moving deer as it bolted out of some trees but also managed to miss its legs! shame because the background was great and the deer in focus and light good -

 the key is to just stand stock still when they walk towards you - only move the camera when they are not looking directly at you --
