Little Gull

an afternoon visit to Hornsea Mere produced that photographers bonus, some beautiful Little Gulls which were not only tame and approachable but were landing into the wind with the light in roughly the right place----what superb birds Little Gulls are

more small gulls

juv CT

this juvenile Common Tern provided soem nice photo opportunities as it sparred with the Little Gulls

Roseate Terns

a visit to Filey to photograph the Roseate Terns was met by some thick cloud then blinding sun and a heavy swell producing a fine spray mist but I still managed to blast off about 700 images most of which were of course rubbish!

more Rosys

some perched birds

the rosy tern

Roseates are one of the best terns and it was great to see so many at close range even thought he wave mist and light were often rather tricky

Black Terns

some nice juvenile Black Terns were around the Brigg at Filey with the other terns

full cards
