Red-throated Diver - away

 Not one but two juvenile Red-throated Divers on sailing pit yesterday and moving out of the way of the smaller boats until one faster vessel was clearly just too much and they both flew off - human leisure activities and birds are seldom compatible in Britain

 the first diver on the pits for a while - a nice first-summer, 2cy, Red-throated Diver on sailing pit for the last few days -- one of the few spots where you can get down low to get a good perspective on waterfowl
