mixed bag of Cypriot birds

when we first visited Cyprus in 1996 Sardinian Warbler was confined to a small area of the north coast at Pollis and we only saw one bird -- now Sardinian must be one of the commonest birds on the island having spread with amazing speed and possibly now affecting the number of Cyprus Warblers that I find harder to locate year on year -- Cyprus Wheatear is still very common and Cretzschmar's Bunting easy enough in the hills

Red-rumped Swallow 3rd for Barton

just heading home for  a cuppa after a 5 miles hike round part of the pits this morning when a text from Andy informed me that Richard had found a Red-rumped Swallow at Target, my next destination after the cuppa!, after a bit of a scare when it drifted off south-east it then settled down and gave excellent views until dark in the increasingly windy and dull weather -- Bufflehead and Red-rumped Swallow in 2 days what will the easterly gales bring tomorrow?
