1DX test phase 1

thanks to a generous offer from Canon Pro services I got to take a 1DX out for the day and have a blast at a few birds -- flying birds seemed to be few and far between and clearly I had a lot to learn about the AF system and I was rather worried about taking it out sort of hoping the results would not be that good and then there would be no urge to upgrade!

All these statics at 800 ISO Canon 500f4 II and 1.4x III monopod -- straight out of the camera no sharpening or noise reduction
