Goldeneye

all wildfowl numbers really low around here this winter; did a full count of Pochard today and found 14 birds -- compares with up to 2000 in 1980's -- Goldeneye today 18 compared to 70 - 80 in recent winters but need to check the Humber stronghold when the weather improves

Goldeneye flock and Whoopers

a perfect day for a Goldeneye count on the Humber and sorting out the rarities -- just 2 female Scaup and 7 Whooper Swans but an excellent count of 638 Goldeneye a recent record and maybe an all time high count - now where's that Barrow's?
