mixed bag of Cypriot birds

when we first visited Cyprus in 1996 Sardinian Warbler was confined to a small area of the north coast at Pollis and we only saw one bird -- now Sardinian must be one of the commonest birds on the island having spread with amazing speed and possibly now affecting the number of Cyprus Warblers that I find harder to locate year on year -- Cyprus Wheatear is still very common and Cretzschmar's Bunting easy enough in the hills

Hooded Crow

spent a lot of time failing to get anywhere near a Hooded Crow even in the vehicle, are they still shot? but then of course did the obvious thing and went to the city of Kirkwall -- all appeared to be pure birds up there but even in north Caithness there were hybrids and down at Golspie a lot of Carrion Crow influence -- where is the hybrid line nowadays?
