the predicted cloudy morning did not really materialise so when this beautiful juvenile Spotted Redshank landed right into the sun it was tricky to get any sort of shots but overall feel quite pleased with the way they worked out

Frampton Marsh July 22nd
To hopefully avoid the worst of the early heat rose at 02:30 and was at Frampton for sunrise at 04:55 - the day started out with great light when I should have spent more time on the close waders but went looking for the Pacific Golden Plover and when I found it needless to say it was 300 - 400m away but in great light; A few of the many early morning waders below

Water Pipits are never it seems easy to approach for some bizarre reason; another young or adult male Marsh Harrier and one of the local Spotted Redshanks
