mixed bag of Cypriot birds

when we first visited Cyprus in 1996 Sardinian Warbler was confined to a small area of the north coast at Pollis and we only saw one bird -- now Sardinian must be one of the commonest birds on the island having spread with amazing speed and possibly now affecting the number of Cyprus Warblers that I find harder to locate year on year -- Cyprus Wheatear is still very common and Cretzschmar's Bunting easy enough in the hills

two generations of greater coverts presumably make this a first-summer female? on my favourite medium the barbed wire fence!

an increasingly scarce migrant this one was on waters's Edge last night -- it was dull and cloudy hence the less than usual number of dog walkers to have flushed it
