Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire

 the first-winter male Black-throated Thrush up at Wykeham on a very windy day and a pretty elusive bird that only fed in the field for about 15 minutes all day - the vegetation in the field and distance did not make for great images but the 8th I have seen in the UK since my first in February 197 at Coltishall in Norfolk - 4 in January and 2 each in February and March

wanted to have another look at the Black-throated Thrush before it departs for the east and had an idea of what shots I wanted to try and get an din spite of the dull weather it did the full wing and tail spread on three occasions and managed to get the underwing coverts about as well I as I had hoped

Black-throated Thrush revistied

with some brighter spells and slightly less wind -- Canon 5D4 with Canon 400DO2 and 1.4 and 2x converters

better light at times but the full sun forecast by the BBC was never going to happen -- used the 2x converter with the 400DO2 and 5D4 which I usually avoid but in good light it can be useful
Keeping a wary eye up for passing Sparrowhawks -- doesn't want to go the way of the only previous Lincs rare thrush
