 a lovely summer male Snow Bunting found this morning on the Humber bank by Waters Edge by AS and still there this afternoon when it looked much nicer without the persistent rain

 heard a tu call in the morning but never saw the culprit then walking back in the afternoon virtually stood on this beauty - so tame and what a privilege to just be able to sit and watch it feeding away at close range

we must assume that these are typical insulae from their location; in actual fact they were being ignored by 100's of people in the car park at the iceberg lagoon in spite of often feeding within 2m of people's feet -- really made you realise just how detached the vast vast majority of people are from nature now --
