just a few more of albert (ini)

 called in after a trip to Wykeham in a very strong wind - nothing spectacular and I think I have had my best chances with this bird on past visits

Albert the Black-browed Albatross back for the summer

 Put off going for a few days to let the crowds die down and it was relatively quiet today - just a 6 hour vigil for me before it poked its head above the ridge and then had a fly out to see for a bath before returning to the same spot - so close but just out of view

Below the view from New Rollup the Gannets on the ridge top are viewable from Staple Newk but Albert is just hidden from view though a lot lot closer

a very elusive Green Warbler and some Albatross in landscapes

 when a Green warbler turned up at Buckton I followed the crowds having never seen the species and being a real fan of the genus phylloscopus but the bird was to say the least elusive and in 17 hours over 3 days I managed to see it for perhaps two minutes - not the greatest introduction to a new bird but the adjacent Albatross added a little by way of compensation and it was great to watch it drifting about over the sea for a change in its own environment;

Another Albatross encounter
