lets face facts you are on a whale watching boat for 5 hours so your chances of getting those images of whales that you would like are pretty well nigh nil as the people who get the good shots will have spent 100's or even 1000's of hours watching whales before they get the great shots so being practical I was happy with some record shots and seeing these great beasts at very close range at one stage as two went under the boat
