Yellow-billed Loon revisited

dull and misty but managed to get down a bit lower which always helps -- differences in angles and light and background make different bits of the plumage stand out more -- Canon 1DX, Canon 400 DO II and Canon 1.4x mark 3

White-billed Diver

juvenile White-billed Diver on the River Witham at the iron sheep -- you just could not predict that the second live White-billed Diver in Lincs would be on the same inland river as the first in 1996; the only other Lincs record was a tideline corpse but clearly they must occur offshore
