 Not posted any Marsh Harriers for a while - must redress the balance - a nice adult male , a 3cy male and a juv/1cy from this week 

Red-throated Diver - away

 Not one but two juvenile Red-throated Divers on sailing pit yesterday and moving out of the way of the smaller boats until one faster vessel was clearly just too much and they both flew off - human leisure activities and birds are seldom compatible in Britain 

Short-eared Owl

 Nice to have a pretty obliging Short-eared Owl accessible this winter -- tried to take in some autumn habitat as well as the obligatory eye shots
