two days at Bempton
not sure I have ever spent 17 hours not seeing a bird before but some you win and being in the wrong spot at the right place when a big bird appears to all and sundry is always a bit galling -- in hindsight my decisions to wander away from the crowds has never actually cost me anything in the past but this was not a good result -- a few pictures of other dippers and seabirds and a LEO in dull weather -- better luck next year! going away identification tips on a Long-eared Owl
