after 48 years birding 2 lifers in a day in Yorkshire

setting off this morning in the abysmal weather the chances of actually even seeing the Paddyfield Warbler seemed remote but being in the right spot at the right time proved lucky 13th; two Shorelarks and a brief Olive-backed Pipit plus a nice cafe lunch and then more rain and that message that everyone had been expecting somewhere and fortunately only 80 minutes away at Easington -- a rather damp Paddyfield Warbler; almost as damp as I was at the time --
