House Finches

after the hassle of getting out of Vancouver airport it was raining by the time we reached the B&B at Ladner and it rained most of the night -- I got up early in light rain with no light but determined to get a few shots in the bag even at 4000 ISO! -- a quick walk round the river front near the B&B produced a nice selection of birds including House Finches, White-crowned and Golden crowned Sparrows, Savannah Sparrow, Bald eagles, Violet Green, Tree, Barn and Cliff Swallows, Red-shafted Flicker and the ubiquitous American Robins --the 5D4 quickly proved its worth at high ISO levels and as the majority of the trip was cloudy it was a good choice of body to take --  last two in rather better conditions at 400 ISO
