Having only seen one tatty Brown Hairstreak in 2003 I made the relatively short trip to Chambers Wood last week to try and see some better examples - although the weather was not ideal managed to see at least three different males and to get shots with the Canon R6 mark 2 and Canon RF 100-500

Pectoral Sandpiper at Alkborough
Last week an adult Pectoral Sandpiper graced Alkborough Flats - it was no less than the 19th individual of this species recorded there since 2006 when it was first flooded
Swifts
Well I have not put much on here of late so a few spare minutes to upload a few images; Screaming Swifts over the garden in July we had up to 150 birds max but down to a handful in August and seven today feeding on flying ants with the gulls
