Black Brant

this adult Black Brant was picked up in a large flock of Dark-bellied Brents, 1500+ which also included 3 Pale bellied Brents and a Tundra Bean Goose at Humberston this afternoon---the softer pics were taken with the 100-400 lens hand held to a Swaro scope with 20-60mm scope as the birds were distant

a return trip to the owls--it never works--a successful day can never be repeated, the weather changes, the birds act differently etc----the Corn Bunting was one of a small flock in this set-aside along with 100+ Reed Buntings and 2 Stonechats

harrier photos one day maybe?

some small images of a Hen Harrier which I consider is probably a first-winter male

with several owls on winter territories squabbles were frequent and many birds were calling

Bohemia

a dull day at a very dull location, Pywipe---how I envy the Scandinavian photographers with their clear air, blue skies and bright, reflected light!

more wings

poor light, jittery birds but how can anyone resist Waxwings
