female Marsh Harrier

this female seems well established on a local territory and is a rather attractive looking bird with its pale marked upper forewings but what age is it? there is obvious moult contrast in secondaries and some coverts

Mallard and Pochard flights

some postures work and others don't in spite of image size and exposure / light

Starling on a frost field

Magpies

Curlew with a small bill

note the bill also has mud on it in some of the shots - presumably a first-winter

Shovelers

converter on or off -- whichever you choose one shot is always wrong
