been on a short tour recky to Speyside -- nice weather and habitat but far too many people, school holidays etc; little time to get nay bird shots but some nice birds seen --

my earliest ever Speckled Woods locally this week but lots on the wing today also Orange Tips plus Comma, Peacocks galore, Brimstone, Small Torts, Green-veined Whites its almost like summer

the ancient male, bottom shots, has returned -- not sure how old this bird is but birds have bred here for 12 years so he could even be one of the originals -- imaging him passing over a vis mig spot and getting put down as pied harrier!
