just literally returned froma very successful trip to northern Finland and Varanger Norway with Mark Bannister--first few shots here from a large collection---an amazing place with superb birds and mainly good weather timed to perfection as the snow melted off the tundra---a male Long-tailed Skua on tundra habitat abover Tana River 

being 4m from an adult Long-tail on the tundra is some where close to heaven!
