Yellow-legged Gull

a 2cy bird on Waters' Edge at the weekend driven off by the resident LBBG's

Grasshopper Warbler

a record total of 14 Grasshopper Warblers on my patch today but this was the only one that showed itself relatively well -- I must have missed several in other spots so there could be twice that number around

Sedge Warblers

at least 50 on the patch already an amazing arrival -- some of the foreshore reedbeds have so many there is a lot of territorial aggression with frequent song flights making for photo fun -- all pictures Canon 1D4 and 300 2.8 lens with 2x converter mark III

Lesser Whitethroat

at least 5 males on the 17th - this one was singing from about 40 feet up in an Ash tree

Long-tailed Duck

still hanging on the local patch; the adult drake left a while back
