Hering Gull, Razorbill and Eiders
Herring Gulls loafing around near a craft shop family stop-over, Eiders and Razorbill off Chanonry Point where there was a notable lack of dolphins on a very, very cold day but almost stood on a Jack Snipe on the beach and a dead Little Auk was poor compensation for a lack of live birds

Siberian Chiffchaff better foggy images
I picked this bird up again yesterday at Pyes Hall but although it was a lot closer the fog was do dense that it was difficult to get any good images and it was very dark as well so high ISO's were in order -- again it never called while I had it in view
Chiffchaff
a pretty typical bird as we would say apart from the marram habitat -- notice how colour tones vary with angle and light -- all taken in fog and constant drizzle / mist and appalling light levels
continental Robins
always worth looking for the subtle differences between birds that adorn the coast in October and your garden residents -- I think I looked at about 300 Robins over two days this week -- what is the ratio of Robins to Bluetails???
Whoopers and Pink-feet
7 Whoopers on the local pits Sunday morning, very briefly before they left as the fog thinned and Pink-feet an hour later in sunshine
