Eastern Yellow Wagtail

a trip up north was successful on the Eastern Yellow Wagtail front but less so on the WWScoter -- some you win -- EYW taken very early am initially on 10,000 ISO, one shows the hind clay, then dropped to 1600 ISO hand held with he 5D4 and 400 DO2 plus 1.4x converter -- mostly taken at 1/25th second -- a bird of subtle plumage tones but nice and confiding early doors anyway

Rough-legged Buzzard

quick visit to the Yorky juvenile Rough-leg this afternoon -- stunning bird through the scope but never close enough for good photos in the poor light but a great bird to see -- never saw it catch anything while we were there though it dropped onto a couple of things that it seemed to release in the tangle of long grass it got stuck in

a new juvenile male Hen Harrier

The apparent blue sky is confusing it was very dull with little light hence high ISO and low shutter speeds but a fine bird; it followed a male Sparrowhawk that was chasing a Blackbird into a hedge
