a lovely sunny day in prospect so a survey visit to Laughton Forest was in the offing with the hope of photographing adders and Tree Pipits displaying---in the event both were captured in variable quality and there was a superb showing of early butterflies with 30+ Peacocks, 10 Commas, 8 Brimstones, 2 Small Torts and a Speckled Wood also goodly numbers of Green Tiger Beetles
