Steve Routledge found a Purple Heron at Rosper Road Pools Killingholme this morning while dragonflying--it flew off north so I didin't rush over but after 40 minutes I had to give it a try---while I was at Rosper Steve and Nigel had it fly north-west over Killingholme Haven pits -- a very rapid drive towards East Halton fortunately intercepted it as it turned back south-west and crossed the road heading south-west---another dash along one of the busiest roads i the area saw me jumping out of the car as it mounted the kerb---it then soared up high and drifted off south-west over Ulceby Skitter towards Brocklesby Park---
