seawatching is an unpredictable sport and in SE winds western Ireland is perhaps not the place to be but the sun shone and there were some good birds and as usual excellent hospitality all round---photos include sunset off Loop Head, Greenland Wheatears (a fall of 60 birds on the tip of Loop Head after rain on the 4th, Chough, real Rock Dove Bridges of Ross, Gannet, Rock Pipit, a few Curlew Sandpiper from a flock of 31 at Quilty, juvenile Dunlin, Minke Whale off Loop Head (a long way off!) and Bottle-nosed Dolphins off Bridges of Ross
