it was great to come across a fledged brood of 6 young Swallows on the patch---the parents had moved them from the safety of a pig shed to this fence and it quickly became obvious why--the adults were hoovering up teneral damselflies from the adjacent pits at an amazing speed and literally stuffing the juveniles with tasty morsels----this sequence shows that the larger and brighter your gape the more chance you have of an extra pudding all taken with Canon 1D MkIIN and 300 2.8 with 1.4 converter hand held
