it was great to come across a fledged brood of 6 young Swallows on the patch---the parents had moved them from the safety of a pig shed to this fence and it quickly became obvious why--the adults were hoovering up teneral damselflies from the adjacent pits at an amazing speed and literally stuffing the juveniles with tasty morsels----this sequence shows that the larger and brighter your gape the more chance you have of an extra pudding
