its often the case that you take 100's of images in a day and the best one is something really unexpected; a pair of Mallard sat below and in front of the hide late afternoon and suddenly flew up; I blasted a few shots and the light, the colour of the background and the position of the female in the frame and the wings just combined to make a great shot - it also helped that it was nice and sharp!
