Marsh Harriers locally

difficult to tell just how many birds are using the site at the moment but at least 4 -- after such a winter they are already messing about over nest sites -- shots 7 - 12 from the top are of a young male but is it 2cy or 3cy? the very female like plumage on the underparts and head contrasts starkly with the grey coming in the inner primaries, primary coverts and central tail but I would guess that most people would have this bird down as a female --
