this singing male was one of only two that we came across -- several species were reported to be 2-3 weeks late in arriving in Hungary this year including Red-backed and Lesser Grey Shrikes, Marsh and River Warblers as well as Rollers -- always interesting to see how perception of acros changes with posture and the effects of filtered light on their upperparts / underparts
