saving the back from weight lifting I took the 5DII and 70-200 2.8 with the 1.4x up the Cairngorms in the hope of getting a Ptarmigan -- in addition to saving weight the zoom provides different opportunities for framing birds in habitat -- Loch Morlich bottom right
Before I left the wife and daughter 2/3 of the way up I got the usual warning -- I know you when you want a photo if I see the rescue helicopter I'll know who it is! -- needless to say I got a quick call when the yellow helicopter came over me!
