Hi Graham The few nests that I found & noted fledging in south Wales were a month later i.e. early May but I don't know if they were repeats or even 2nds. I found most of these Siskin nests by watching the females, closely attended by the males, collecting rabbit fur from brambles or pulling up root fibres etc. & flying up high into Douglas fir which they seemed to choose for nest sites. I typically tended to note them when I was sitting quietly having lunch while surveying Goshawk nest sites. [ Under licence ]. Sheer bliss ! regards Mike
