banded Piping Plover

this bird was at Pelee May 13th -- guess its from the Great Lakes breeding population

Thanks for taking the time to send in your observation of a banded Piping
Plover. The plover you saw is from the Great Lakes population. It was
hatched in 2012 on North Manitou Island in Sleeping Bear Dunes National
Lakeshore, MI. Migration sightings like yours are fairly rare and very
helpful in understanding their migration habitat needs.
