Sand Martins

some aspects of bird behaviour are difficult to illustrate in still photos and lend themselves much more to video but I had to have a go at these Sand Martins resting in the local pits after leaving their roost yesterday morning in the dull and damp weather; at least 2000 birds about typical for the local patch in early August
