amazing densities of many of the rare Uk visitors in extensive and wild habitats but overall what impressed me most was the soundscape of the place with some much volume of bird song and calls in clean air carrying across open meadows and marshes with no background noise something that is impossible to find in Lincolnshire at least -- birds not easy to photograph or often see but the sounds were exceptional
This was mist forming over the river at Bialowieza after a heavy thunderstorm as the sun broke through the cloud just before setting accompanied by singing River, Marsh and Savi's Warblers, Rosefinches, Golden Orioles, Hawfinches flying by, hunting Red-backed Shrikes etc etc
