Warning serious Record shots Blue-winged Teal

credit to ND for picking up this eclipse drake Blue-winged Teal at Alkborough yesterday -- mostly distant and in heat haze and bright light it was never going to be possible to get anything like a good image -- the key ID feature is arguably the Blue-forewing so when the flock of ducks panicled and took to the air I just followed roughly where it was in the gang and fired thankfully getting the bird in some of the shots albeit with buts hidden in the melee -- another new bird for Alkborough in an unpromising spell --
