Blyth's Reed Warbler the story continues

the singing male just hangs on a bit longer - a very wet day today but less people in the rain - failed to get much video of its full song but a snippet in the video below -- the images all taken in very dull light and the rain bring out the subtle tones to the bird's plumage that are lost in bright sunlight but even slight changes in light make the bird look different colours

My history of Blyth's Reed Warbler encounters was pretty poor before this bird; some very brief and untickable views of a bird in the the big hedge at Spurn in May 1984,  one studied at Flamborough in October 1997, 4 hours looking at some bushes for a few seconds view of a bird at Spurn in October 2007 and a lack of birds in Estonia in May 2015 as we were too early for their arrival so this bird has been a privilege and saved me the mossy attack of a late May Estonia trip
