Marsh Harrier and Bittern on a very wet morning

My first session with Marsh Harriers in 2023 in some very dull and wet conditions and hence very mediocre results but the male was displaying and the pair apparently mating from the calls coming out of the reedbed  -- this would seem to be the male first recorded at this site in 2021 as a 3cy bird in  but although he stays the winter and sets up an early territory he is usually ousted by the old returning male and female later in the spring and but in 2022 moved to a nearby site and fledged three young
