Nuthatch on a pine trunk

For the early part of my Lincolnshire birding career Nuthatches were only found in woods south of Lincoln for some bizarre reason then they suddenly broke out and headed north with the first records in N Lincs in 1995 and it was 2004 before I saw one on my patch at Barton but they probably bred the next year and have done so every year up until this year and so far there have been no records in the usual park which seems odd
