Having missed the Norfolk Hawkers at Willow Tree Fen a couple of years back it was nice to catch up with a local one on Sunday and Monday found by visiting birder Darren Wozencroft; views on Sunday were not great so spent 4 hours looking Monday morning with nothing but a glimpse but a late text sent me back at 17:00 and although it did not show for nearly an hour when the heat finally dropped a little it showed really well albeit into the glary sun and against white water - conditions for photography were pretty grim but it perched up regularly and I even just about managed a couple of flight shots - No chance of changing position to get a better view point but the way they are spreading I am sure it will not be the last - only the 4th record for Lincs though with the first quite oddly at Messingham in August 1997 --
