patch tick--what a stunner
with such an exceptional coastal fall of Yellow-browed Warblers I had been searching the local patch at Waters' Edge all of last week without result but this morning the high pitched call of inornatus shot out of the wood and although it took nearly an hour to actually see it this stunning Yellow-browed then performed as well as could be expected in a dense patch of mature trees--its habit of chasing Siskins and tits around calling frequently made finding it easier than normal!--amazingly at times I was convinced that there were two birds calling--maybe tomorrow will reveal all--- the flight shot has to be the best!!
