solving a riddle

with reports of up to 30,000 Common terns moving south to roost past Spurn in recent days I was intrigued to find out where they were going as the Lincolnshire triangle seemed to be swallowing them up---after two evenings on the beach I have found the roost which is quite a spectacle---this evening in less than perfect light but with a perfect tide, high at 6.6m at 19:30, I estimated that there were 15,000 terns present but there may well have been a lot more---the gathering included two or three Blacks, up to 40 Sandwich and at least 30 Arctics plus the holy grail see above--the same juvenile Peregrine seen two nights ago passed by a couple of times trailed by about 500 terns
