




A disturbance amongst the Waters' edge bread scoffing Mallard alerted me to the fact that a drake had caught a frog which it was carrying in an excited manner with all of the other Mallard and Coots chasing it around; it kept dunking the frog but didn't seem inclined to actually eat it; a female then grabbed the frog and ran off only to return to the water and drop the amphibian whereupon a Coot picked it up and tossed it around for a while before dropping it again; a Mallard then picked it up and the chasing started all over again---
