Unfortunately most of the Honey Buzzards we saw, several hundred, were all rather high or were in terrible light early in the morning; the one we should have nailed was missed by a combination of no handbrake on the hire car, adjacent cliff and three photographers trying to decide whether to abandon the car and get the shots or save the car and miss the bird -- its the bird turning away!
